Petros is an experienced energy professional with 17 years of expertise in global crude oil origination, crude oil trading, gas trading and upstream M&A, thus he has significant exposure to all parts of the energy value chain.

Petros’s energy career started in gas and power with Shell where he managed trading around storage facilities in California and Texas as well as long term sales agreements in NW Europe. He then moved to upstream M&A where he managed, negotiated and executed upstream acquisitions and divestment deals globally. Deals included exploration acreage acquisition in the North Sea, Production Sharing Agreements in Africa, new LNG developments in Australia and producing company divestments in continental Europe. He then subsequently moved to crude oil trading for Shell where he managed a number of books and traded with major suppliers and refiners in various markets including the Mediterranean, Middle East, North Africa, West Africa and USA.

In his most recent move, Petros joined Eni Trading and Shipping three years ago where he focuses on originating long term deals for crude oil trading globally. His deals span a wide spectrum including transatlantic arbitrage of US crude to Europe, crude oil storage deals in Asia, sourcing new crude volumes out of the Mediterranean, West Africa and the North Sea, sourcing new oil products volumes in NW Europe and also working with banks to reach commodity financing agreements to support oil supply deals.

Petros holds Graduate Engineering degrees from top US universities followed by business executive education courses in Europe. He is multilingual with living experience in various countries.
