With studies in Science, Logistics & Health and Safety, John started his career in parallel to his studies as Site Rig Logistics Co-Ordinator for Enterprise Oil (now Shell) during the 1st International Round of Exploration in Greece in the late '90s for the Artemis, Apollon and Demetra drilling campaigns in the North West Peloponnese and Epirus Regions. John then moved to the UK in 2002 for the dubbed ''Contract of the Century'' on behalf of BP and the Caspian Business Unit (AzBu) developments Logistics Team. During his tenure at BP John worked in Phase I & II of the Azeri - Chirag - Gunashli (ACG) Full Field Development and during the construction of Central Azeri (PDQ), West Azeri, East Azeri & CWP Compression & Water Injection Platforms as well as Shah Deniz I. In addition to the platforms construction John also worked on the Sangachal Terminal Expansion Project (STEP) and the landmark Baku - Tbilisi Ceyhan (BTC) Pipeline.

In 2006 and after gaining substantial experience in the Caspian John moved to Offshore Contractors SBM Offshore for their Projects in the Caspian Sea in the capacity of Logistics Area Lead. Between 2006 & 2008 John managed the Extended Well Test (EWT-1) Project for Petronas Carigali in Turkmenistan and oversaw all the operations in the Gulf and the Caspian both onshore and offshore. After spending two years in Turkmenistan in 2008 John spent about 6 months in a major Rotterdam Shipyard as Site Logistics rep for a Norwegian Shelf Project before being selected as Logistics & Materials Lead for the Petrobras 57 (P-57) FPSO conversion, construction and integration Project for the Jubarte Field (Pre-Salt deep water) in Brazil overseeing the Logistics activities in three Brazilian Shipyards in the State of Rio de Janeiro. Upon his return from Brazil John had a brief tenure with the German Project & Heavy Transport outfit Deutshe Gross Transport Gesellschaft as Oil & Gas Assistant Project Manager before joining in 2011 EPCI major Subsea 7 in the capacity of Logistics, Materials & Chartering Manager for the AFGOM (Africa Gulf of Mexico & Mediterranean) Region and later on (GPC) Global Projects Centre looking after prestigious, primarily West African and Mediterranean Projects such as Block 31 PSVM, Block 18 Life of Field, Gas Export Line (GEL) & Gas Export System (GES) in Angola, Jubilee FFD & Tweneboa, Enyenra, Ntomme (TEN) in Ghana, West & East Nile Delta as well as Atoll Developments in Egypt among many others including many Projects in the North Sea.

In 2016 and after the giant discovery of the Zohr field in Egypt John felt that the future of offshore exploration & production is and will be the Eastern Med Region so decided to relocate at the epicentre of the those activities in Cyprus for offshore players EDT Offshore in the capacity of Chartering & Operations Executive. John is currently involved on all Projects in the area and more specifically in Israel, Egypt, Libya, Cyprus itself, the Adriatic and of course Greece which will be the next hotspot of exploration activities.
