Theo possesses about a decade of experience in strategic projects in the energy, oil & gas and liquid renewables sectors. His key area of focus is renewable liquid fuels and in particular Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and e-fuels for decarbonising the aviation sector.

After starting his career in gas & power industry as a Fundamentals Analyst in Centrica Energy (British Gas), focusing on long-term analytics, Theo Zisis joined Wood Mackenzie as part of their Downstream Research and consulting department. He worked on several consulting projects in the area of downstream oil and biofuels with a focus on the “hard to decarbonise” sectors like aviation. He has recently joined Shell’s Low Carbon Fuels team where he focuses on commercial SAF analytics and business development.


Theo’s academic background is in Economics, having studied in the University of Macedonia and Bayes Business School where he was awarded the Msc in Energy Trade and Finance. Theo Zisis has been among the first members of the Greek Energy Forum.
