Reload Greece announces its third flagship conference, which this year is run in partnership with the London Business School and SEESOX, part of the European Studies Centre of Oxford University. It will be held on Saturday 24th of September from 8.45 am – 6.00 pm at Rooms on Regents Park RCOG, 27 Sussex Place, NW1 4RG. On this exclusive occasion, 250 delegates will have the opportunity to come together, hear from more than 18 renowned speakers joining from all around the world and find out how they can become active members of their diaspora.

There is now a plethora of cosmopolitan entrepreneurs who, armed with technologies that enable distant collaboration, transcend national boarders in search of knowledge, funding and better opportunities. What is driving their success and how do global diasporas leverage their international connections to access resources to support new ventures in distant locales? Always touching on their diaspora element, the conference will feature successful entrepreneurs, insights by investors and action plans by policy makers on how the diaspora can be turned into a powerful asset for Greece.

The format includes real world insights focusing, not on theory, but on action, establishing the grounds for a very lively and engaging debate amongst speakers and participants. Reload Greece also sees this as a great opportunity to shed light on the success stories of entrepreneurs who have graduated from its programmes featuring ten of its Alumni story boards in the main room, as well as a few of the most important diaspora led initiatives in London including the Hellenic Bankers Association, Hellenic Hope and Greek Energy Forum – representatives of which, will be engaging in a quick fire Q&A session to share their impact and vision.

A few of our distinguished speakers and moderators include, Marina Hatsopoulos; Entrepreneur, Angel Investor and Director of Cynosure Inc; Vassilis Nikolopoulos, Co-Founder and CEO of Intelen; Aristos Doxiadis, General Partner at Openfund, Vicky Pryce, Economist, Author andCEBR Board Member, Michail Bletsas, Director of Computing and Research Scientist MIT Media Lab, Yiannis Palaiologos, Features Reporter Kathimerini and Haris Makryniotis, Managing Director of Endeavor Greece.

Commenting on the conference, CEO of Reload Greece Effie Kyrtata said: ‘The diaspora remains an untapped asset which we need to engage. Defining the model of cross – country entrepreneurship which will empower the diaspora is at the core of our organisation and this event is an important platform for inspiration, debate and conception of real solutions.’

Reload Greece is grateful for the support it has received by its sponsors Eurobank Private Bank Luxembourg and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
